Dr. Byounggon Kim
Dr. Kim has been helping patients smile brighter in South Philadelphia since 2008. His talent and innovative approach have made him one of the leading cosmetic and general dentists in the area. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association and makes it priority to be up to date with the latest techniques and technology in the dental profession.
Dr. Kim grew up in Seoul, South Korea, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. He achieved a master's degree in engineering from Georgia Tech and his D.M.D degree is from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
He is married to his lovely wife Jung and has two beautiful children. When he's not helping patients, Dr. Kim enjoys traveling, exercising and spending time with his family and friends.
Cesar Fernandez
Dental Assistant; Clear Braces, Aligner Assistant; Whitening expert
Cesar was raised in the Poconos and relocated to Philadelphia seven years ago. He entered the dental field with a passion to learn and help provide a comfortable dental experience that patients seek, but frequently cannot find. He has been with the office for over two years as a dental assistant. On his free time, he enjoys watching animated films from around the world.
Ciana Hammock
Insurance Coordinator
Ciana was born and raised in South Philadelphia. She's a hard worker and is a proud, loving mother to her beautiful daughter. Ciana understands how difficult it may be to make the choice to come to the dentist due for fear, so she makes sure to greet everyone with a friendly smile to brighten their mood.
Jennifer Kinee
Hygenist
Jen joined the staff at South Philly Dental on February 2016. She graduated from Camden County College in 2015 with an Associate in Applied Science Degree where she was awarded for Academic Excellence and Excellence in Communication. She is licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is an active member of the ADHA (American Dental Hygienists Association). Jen provides patients with compassionate, individualized care to suit their needs. She loves her job and being a part of helping people improve their oral health. In her free time, Jen enjoys going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, and listening to music.
Sandy Dougherty
Dental Assistant; Clear Braces, Aligner Assistant; Whitening expert
Sandy has been a Dental Assistant for over 40 years in the South Philadelphia area. She graduated from Delaware Valley Academy of Dental and continues her education with at Community College of Philadelphia, where she acquired her CDA. She loves being a CDA and will continue her passion in this field until she retires. She enjoys seeing patients smile when they leave the office.
Kate Green
Office Manager
Kate is known for her friendly and kind personality. She wants every patient to have the “best experience ever.” Kate is crucial to making sure the office runs smoothly everyday. She is a proud mother of two beautiful daughters and enjoys spending as much time with them as she can.
